Scoring
The meets will begin with the individual medley events. This will ensure that meets get off to a smooth start and allow volunteers to ease into their positions. After the completion of the IM’s, all six and under events will follow.
- 6 and unders swim ½ of the length of the pool.
- Order of Events: 1 thru 58, see attached listing
- Only
heat 1 scores points. Points are awarded
as follows:
- 1st place: 5 points (individual events); 10 points (relays)
- 2nd place: 3 points (individual events); 6 points (relays)
- 3rd place: 2 points (individual events); 4 points (relays)
- 4th place: 1 point (individual events); 2 points (relays)
- No points awarded for a DQ
*Beginning in 2026, swimmers in the 6 years and under category will not be scored.
